The Canadian International Trade Tribunal, has conducted a preliminary injury inquiry into whether there is evidence that discloses a reasonable indication that the dumping of certain hot‐rolled wire rod of carbon steel and alloy steel of circular or approximately circular cross section, in coils, equal to or less than 25.5 mm in actual solid cross‐sectional diameter, originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China, the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (the subject goods), has caused injury or retardation or is threatening to cause injury.
This preliminary injury inquiry follows the notification, on March 8, 2024, that the President of the Canada Border Services Agency had initiated an investigation into the alleged injurious dumping of the subject goods.
The Tribunal determines that there is evidence that discloses a reasonable indication that the dumping of the subject goods has caused injury or is threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an investigation on March 8, 2024, respecting the alleged injurious dumping of certain wire rod from China, Egypt, and Vietnam.
