The 2020 Canadian Tariff Schedule is now available on the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) website.  The Customs Tariff is revised a number of times over the course of the year and it is important that you review your tariff classifications on a regular basis.
Tariff classification is an important factor in almost every release, including duties applied, licenses, permits, certificates and any other information that may be required by other government agencies (OGA). CBSA provides a list of tariff classification numbers that may be subject to OGA conditions. If your goods are classified in any of these lists, there may be additional requirements that need to be met prior to import.
CBSA manages trade compliance through targeted and random verifications.
